The end of June almost and you still have that many bugs in your sound card drivers? Name a company Razerguy having problems with Vista drivers this far in? ATI, very stable driver but needs some work for the 2900 series for all OS's. NVIDIA, again much better and they function quite well now with few to no bugs. Creative, don't own one any more but from all my friends and postings on the net it works quite well and at least they get sound. Auzentech, again they have working Vista drivers. Intel, imagine that they have working drivers as well.

I just named every big company out there, two of wich are the other big sound card producers and they seem to have no issues. So whats your reason or excuse now? Seriously, it's no wonder I sold my AC-1 you guys really are a joke and love to make excuses to please the customer. Great you gave us the state of your drivers, here's what I want to know, why is it that you guys are flopping when Creative and Auzentech have sound cards supported in Vista?

I have owned this product for 5 months and been unable to use it. I have set the vista drivers page as my home page in case there is an update.

What caused me to go from frustrate to irate to downright furious was the lack of information whatsoever. This last post was very nice to see and I thank you for it, but you stated we should contact customer support and not post here. I do not believe there is one person posting here that hasn't tried contacting customer support. I also do not believe that there is on person posting here who didn't get the SAME CANNED RESPONSE to his query.

So, thank you again for the update. At least we can hope that a driver is forthcoming instead of expecting to read that it is no longer supported.

First off I must say that a weblog is really not the proper forum for individual issues. I really hesitate posting some of your comments related to service and support issues. These would be best handled by contacting our online customer support team through these pages. If you feel the need to express yourself to me or feel that support has not handled your request to your satisfaction please email me directly at razerguy@razerzone.com. I will be more than happy to respond and help wherever I can.

To Arash, my reply is that there was never any implicit promise on our site, in our documentation or anywhere else to support any future operating system. Yes, we have been aware that the Vista operating system was coming and as you know we have been working on them for months. Unfortunately their are monumental problems and conflicts in the audio area for Vista and every soundcard manufacturer has had their share of problems. It is not our intent to misrepresent our products or to mislead our customers in any way. If you or anyone else wishes to discuss this in further detail please contact me directly via email at razerguy@razerzone.com.

To Beau, I couldn't agree with you more and we will hopefully learn from this experience and be more forthcoming as needed in the future. I'm hoping for another update in a few days.

Awesome.

Now we just need either Razer or Microsoft to quit passing the blame off to each other and offer some support for the Habu - like where to send it if I want a replacement who's wire is not faulty. There needs to be some sort of meeting to discuss who handles support, because Razer send you to Microsoft and Microsoft don't even acknowledge it's existance in customer support.

Thank you for finally giving us a valid response. The problem however, does not arise at the fact that there are no working drivers. It is, in my belief, that after such a large delay after the numerous ETA's we should have recieved this sort of responsemuch earlier, and with more frequent updates. I'm almost positive that it doesn't take more than a couple of minutes and to reassure your customers/AC-1 owners of what is actually going on. That is all I am asking for. If there is a problem and the drivers are not functioning....well, hey, you guys are the experts, so I trust your decisions. As long as you continue to announce the progression of the drivers with more frequent updates (at least bi-weekly) then I am more than satisfied.

You say that you do value the customer base, and you most definately should...but keeping the customers in the dark for such a large amount of time just isn't right, and will most likely cause upset owners.

I am impressed on one part though, I never really expected a response with answers.

I agree with a previous post that RAZER should allow all the customers of the AC-1 sound card to reurn it for a full refund.

Dear Razerguy,

Put yourself in our position- you are a consumer and purchased a product from a company that promises to have it working on a new operating system. You keep the product thinking it will work great on the the platform with the new drivers. 1 month passes by and your return policy runs out with the product you bought and also on top of that the Drivers are still not available and you have not even taken the card out of the box. though when you call the company says we are working on it,, u wait..

Another 3 months passes by ... still waiting???

please reply to my post .. i would love to know what you would say ..

" we are working on it and please be patient" ???

Beau and other VALUED customers;

We realize just how frustrated you are after all the delays in delivering Vista drivers for the AC-1. Many of you have stated that we are lazy, or inept and Beau suggested that we don't care about our customers. These simply are not the case. Our most recent buglist, based on the latest driver build we've received (yesterday):

 1. MIC in, Line In and Aux In are no longer in the GUI.
 2. Balance Volume, CD audio and main Volume, not working in the GUI.
 3. Razer ESP does not function at all.
 4. DTS Neo PC does not function properly
 5. Mic Vol does not function / show properly
 6. Bass control does not function properly
 7. Dolby Pro Logic II does not function properly.

These aren't little bugs; they basically represent a non-functioning driver even for a beta release. We have another build coming our way later this week, which they think will clear up a few of the bugs. If it's anywhere remotely close to being releasable as a beta, we will.

We do appreciate your support and have been working as hard as humanly possible to rectify the situation. Believe me that this situation has nothing to do with not caring about our customers. You are always are most valued and important people and we will never turn our backs on you.

That's what I thought beta drivers were for, to test the drivers and work from there... Apparently razer has no clue how to release or create drivers, so give us what you got, and we will tell you how to fix them...

This predicament has passed rediculous about 2 months ago. This is absolutely the last razer product I EVER purchase. I have bought and reccomended many razer products, now its just gone too far! TERRIBLE customer support.

Razer has forgotten the number one consideration in a business....the customer ALWAYS comes first!
